The mouse is not suitable for every genre. as clear evidence we can see in massive multiplayer online games (MMO). Here is Razer Naga’s chance to provide everything a hardcore MMO gamer needs. The Razer Naga has many thumb buttons, a sleek design, and a powerful software interface. But the Razer Naga is not a perfect mouse. Nevertheless, it is probably the best-dedicated MMO mouse on the market and is very interesting to look at from high-level players.
The Razer Naga will take your breath away. The Naga is a reasonably large mouse and weighs just a bit. This mouse also has a very high profile to accommodate four rows of thumb buttons. Gamers with a palm grip can immediately place their palms on the vertical indentation of the mouse. The location of their thumb on the thumb button is also relatively easy for gamers to play MMOs. The ring finger has its own contoured back, while the little finger has a textured cushion.
The Razer Naga has an astonishing 19 buttons, but the layout makes it entirely usable. On the side of the mouse, there are 12 thumb buttons – numbered 1 through 12 – in four rows of three. The mouse also has a left button, a right button, a scroll wheel clicking in three directions, and two buttons below the scroll wheel with no preprogrammed purpose. Although 12 buttons make claw grip difficult, but not impossible, Naga will give gamers a sense of comfort to hold and use. In addition, the controls are as central and distinct as possible without zooming in on the mouse.
The comfortable peripheral textures make it easy to maintain grip, regardless of how frantic the on-screen action is. The Razer Naga’s high profile and multiple buttons make it relatively unsuitable for all-purpose gaming, but it does everything right from a physical perspective as an MMO mouse.
Razer Naga features a profile that can store eight separate keymaps, giving players access to nearly 100 programmable keys per profile. However, cycles through the keymaps are not that simple. Since they do not have a default button, they must program this feature into each shape.
The Razer Naga also has an extensive DPI range, from 100 to 8,200. Since MMOs tend to rely more on fast keypresses than fast camera movements, the upper DPI range may not be instrumental, but it is nonetheless appreciated. Users can also adjust the DPI for the X and Y axes individually, calibrate the mouse for different surfaces or control the device’s lighting. If you play other MMOs, you can also link profiles with each game. This feature is a nice touch but maybe less necessary on an MMO mouse than on multi-purpose peripherals.
The Razer Naga distinguishes itself from its competitors in its row of thumb buttons. The razer naga is sharper controls with a more comfortable and satisfying click. The 12 buttons feel very different from each other, but each button is at an extra height, thanks to the mouse’s curve. It means that with a relatively short learning curve, users can differentiate the switches and access them as often as possible with minimal difficulty.
